Keene High School Scholarship Newsletter

The following scholarships are listed by the month in which the applications are due.  Please note that this newsletter will be updated every month and scholarship opportunities for upcoming months will be added.  Scholarship applications are available in the Green House Office and/or online.  Please see your school counselor for more information.

March

Shaw-Worth Memorial Scholarship
Student that has made meaningful contributions to animal protection
Award consists of tuition assistance of up to $3,500, which may be divided among recipients
Must have long term, direct care work on behalf of animals, inspiring leadership in animal protection organizations

New Hampshire Association of Educational Office Professionals
Julia T. Pingree Student Scholarship
Applicant is pursuing further education in a business related program
Applicant is a graduating senior
Must have completed four or more courses from among the following: computer classes, keyboarding/typing, accounting or bookkeeping, marketing, business law

Allen and Rosalind Humes Humanitarian Scholarship
Graduating seniors from the high school who are residents of Winchester, NH
Member of a faith community
Pursuing a four year degree at an accredited college or university in a humanitarian discipline

New Hampshire Land Surveyors Foundation
Applicant must have a financial need
Applicant would be entering the surveying profession

League of NH Craftsman
The League of NH Craftsman is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving graduating senior pursuing an education in the field of craft related studies

New Hampshire Road Agents Association Scholarship
Two $1,200 awards will be given to a graduating senior in the top 25% of his or her class
Must be enrolled in a post secondary institution
Student must maintain a 2.5 GPA
Must be a son or daughter of the NH Road Agents Association

Anthony W. Romano & Vernon C. Kelley Memorial Grants
Provides awards from $500 to $1,500 annually to high school seniors receiving assistance from a New Hampshire Housing Authority who are entering post-secondary education.

Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship
Awarded to 18 student athletes with an opportunity to win a $5,000 college scholarship in New England
Must have displayed a high degree of sportsmanship while participating in a varsity high school sport
Students must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0
Performed volunteer work in the community

New Hampshire Charitable Foundation

Single online application that automatically matches students to scholarship opportunities will be available 2/1/2017
Will award over $5 million to 1,500 New Hampshire students in 2017

AIA|NH Architecture Foundation Scholarship
Awarded to students who are 1) currently enrolled in or have been accepted to an undergraduate or graduate professional degree program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB); or 2) students attending the Keene State College Architecture Undergraduate Pre-professional program and students enrolled in the NHTI, Concord's Community College Architecture Engineering Technology program.
1-3 scholarships of $500-$3,000 may be awarded

Dunkin Donuts Scholarship
Open to any qualified New Hampshire student; preference for those students interested in pursuing careers in business, hospitality or food service industries
Based on merit and financial need
Students must have a 3.25 GPA
Demonstrate substantial volunteer or community service

Greater Manchester Black Scholarship Foundation
No person will be excluded from consideration of the scholarship award on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin or sex
Awards will be made to high school seniors and those who have completed their GED and the first year of study at an institution with the US; working towards a degree or certificate of completion
Awards will be made on the basis of financial need, academic performance and/or promise.

Frances Strickland Memorial Scholarship
Open to students who have resided in MARLOW for at least five years
Must be continuing his/her formal education beyond high school in either an accredited college or technical school located in New Hampshire

Must be resident of New Hampshire graduating from high school in 2017
Must be planning to enroll in a degree program at a 4 year or 2 year college or university in the fall

The Law Office of Manning and Zimmerman
The scholarship award is in the amount of $1,000 to two New Hampshire high school students who plan to pursue any type of secondary education or vocational/technical school.
The students who submit the best video or written essay on the following topic will be selected as the recipients of the Manning & Zimmerman 7th Amendment Scholarships:  Why does the 7th amendment to the United States Constitution matter to our system of justice?
